I completely forgot about this blog. So, starting this year, I'm going to start posting and promoting this for all of us still looking and still hoping to regain our standing in the working community.

Plus50Unemployed

This blog is for all of us over 50 (many of whom have AARP cards). It's a place to talk about what it's like to be out of work and starting over.

Many of us, at this point in our lives and careers, figured we were on the down side of everything. A time to enjoy our jobs, our families and the good life. But, alas, that isn't the case. We have to start over, maybe in a lesser career, or move to continue the career we are already in.

I'm been ot of work since February, 2007. I haven't really had a permanent job since March, 2003. It's been a series of 6-12 month contract positions, claiming to be contract for hire, but did not happen.

So, now I'm on disability and volunteering 2 days each week at our local library.

So, share what you're doing. And add the frustrations along.
